- Supervised Individual Project: Complete a real research project over eight weeks, supervised by an academic from Swansea. You will have the option to choose from a diverse range of AI and ML projects, including Optimisation, Natural Language Processing, Robotics, Bioinformatics, Deep Learning, and more.
- Weekly Sessions in Data Science: Participate in regular sessions to gain an understanding of the methodologies and tools for data science, and solve a real world problem together in two groups over the duration of the programme, supervised by Dr Rahat, one of our Turing Fellows.
- Mentorship: Receive guidance from experienced supervisors and dedicated mentoring from Dr Venn-Wycherley, who has a wealth of experience of working with young people. You will also have access to a cohort of our PhD students.
- Workshops and Training: Participate in workshops on presentation skills, and technical portfolio development, with one session from the fantastic Dr Jamie Gallagher, a master of communication.
- Datathon Challenge: Collaborate with an industrial partner (e.g. Welsh NHS) on a real-world data problem and compete to find the best solution.
- Talks from Distinguished Academics: Learn from some of the world leading researchers about their work and experience.
- Final Conference: Present your research findings from your individual project in a 20-minute talk at our concluding conference.
- Stipend for the duration of the programme.
